Eric J. Almquist created AIMED as his logo, an acronym for Agency, Investment, Management, Economics and Development.  All of the service categories he is qualified to offer to the community care facility industry.  In addition to offering these services, it is his intention to acquire a full spectrum of community care facilities ranging from alcohol and substance abuse recovery programs to developmentally disabled care, to residential care facilities for our elderly persons.

In today’s complex world of real estate, it is easy to get side tracked.  You can’t take your eye off of the target for a second or you will miss the mark.  You need to concentrate.  You need to be specialized.  You need to be focused.  You need to be AIMED.  Aimed is an action word that Webster defines as “to direct a course toward a specified object or goal” and that is exactly what Eric does.  Mr. Almquist is familiar with every aspect of investment in the care home business and he can direct a successful outcome using his expertise to avoid the pitfalls, mistakes, diversions and distractions that lead to failure.  Mr. Almquist is “Aimed” at your success.

The community care facility industry is rapidly growing.  The baby boomers are all at the point of possibly needing assisted living.  Unfortunately, the need for substance abuse treatment is mushrooming and the correctional system is releasing more and more offenders to treatment facilities.  Facilities are quite profitable and demand for services is strong.  The opportunity for profit stems both from the cash flow and also the increase in value of the real estate and the business opportunity.

As an experienced real estate broker, general building contractor and care facility administrator, Mr. Almquist has the expertise to represent clients in the acquisition and sale of property, develop and manage new facilities including turn-around situations.  As an experienced property manager, he has qualified personnel to operate facilities to maximize investor returns.  He is familiar with the development process and able to manage professionals such as architects, appraisers, engineers and those who conduct market research and feasibility studies.

It is his intention to provide the best possible care, thus accomplishing good while making a fair rate of return.  He is especially seeking investors with the similar motivation of socially responsible investing who want to participate in a worthwhile cause and also prosper from the experience.  He has substantial investors backing his ventures and is continually seeking new commitments of capital to continue to acquire and develop new facilities.

Through the Oroville Economic and Community Development Corporation, we presently own 15 alcohol and drug treatment facilities, a major recovery facility for Veterans and one elderly care facility, all in Oroville, CAIt is our intention to expand throughout Northern California.

Investors will have a secured interest in each facility that we acquire and a percentage of the profits.  Most care is paid for by secure sources such as the government and insurance companies.  We have contracts with several large organizations that pay for the services that are provided at the facilities.

HISTORY

Mr. Almquist's company, using Aimed as a acronym was formed in 2008 to utilize the many years of experience in commercial real estate and apply this to the community care facility industry.  In short order he facilitated the acquisition of the Cottage Guest Home, a thirteen resident elderly care facility and the development of six alcohol and drug treatment facilities.  Prior to concentration on the community care industry, he was a real estate broker and general building contractor specializing in value added investments, primarily the rehabilitation of large multi-family housing projects.  Presently, he is acquiring a 17,000 SF historic building in Corning, CA and will rehabilitate the building for commercial use and job creation for Veterans.

MISSION

To apply many years experience in the real estate business to the community care facility industry and thereby create opportunities for successful business ventures with social benefit.

GOALS

To invest in a positive, proactive manner resulting in a fair rate of return from socially responsible projects.  To provide excellence in care resulting in a high rate of success in patient treatment.  To create an outstanding business reputation and a well respected program resulting in a successful business venture.

CORE VALUES

Our core values state the way we operate and what we expect in return from our clients, our business associates and competition.  We respect those who we do business with and practice fairness in all business dealings.  We earn and retain the trust of others.

By investing in socially beneficial opportunities we "do well by doing good" and believe that "what goes around, comes around".

Excellence, passion, credibility, creativity, relevance, integrity.  All words by which we operate our business ventures.

Having a meaningful purpose is not inconsistent with sound investment practices. For any company to survive, its revenues must exceed its expenses and produce a profitable return.  Yet, the investment does not have to be in an industry without social benefit.  In the community care home business, a reasonable return on investment to compensate for risk is obtained, and, in addition, a worthwhile purpose is achieved.
